1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. peanut butter
1 egg
2 tbsp. milk
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
42 Hershey Kisses

Cream sugars, shortening and peanut butter. Stir in egg, milk and vanilla. In another bowl, stir together flour, baking soda and salt. Shape dough into 42 balls. Roll balls in additional sugar. Place on lightly greased cookie sheet.

Bake at 350°F for 7 minutes. Remove from oven. Press a Kiss gently into the center. Return to oven for 3 to 4 minutes. Cool at least 1/2 hour.
