DATE AND WALNUT PIE 
1 unbaked pastry crust
3 eggs
1/2 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. sifted flour
1 c. dark corn syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. dates, snipped or chopped
1/2 c. walnuts

Beat the eggs, sugar and salt together until just blended. Add flour to egg/sugar mixture slowly to keep it from lumping. Stir in corn syrup and vanilla. Fold in the dates and walnuts. Pour into prepared pie shell and bake in 350 degree oven 1 hour or until top is golden and center firm. Cool completely on wire rack before serving.
