DIANE'S CHOCOLATE SHEATH CAKE 
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 stick butter
3 to 4 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. water
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix sugar and flour together in a mixing bowl.

Heat butter, cocoa, water and shortening in a saucepan until it reaches the boiling point. Pour hot mixture over dry ingredients. Add buttermilk with soda, eggs, and vanilla. Mix well. Pour batter into pan 11 x 15 x 1 inch. Bake for 20 minutes.

FROSTING:

3 tbsp. cocoa
6 tbsp. milk
1 box powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Bring butter, cocoa and milk to a boil, then add remaining ingredients. Pour over cake while it is still warm.
