SALISBURY STEAK | |
1 lb. hamburger 1 sm. onion (or tbsp. onion flakes) Salt and pepper to taste 1 can cream soup (celery or mushroom - I prefer celery/mixed with 1/2 can water 1 egg 1/2 c. milk 2 c. corn flakes (or other unsweetened cereal will work) Crush corn flakes and add all ingredients except soup. Form into 4 to 6 patties and brown in skillet with a little shortening. Leave in skillet and cover with soup and water. Cover and simmer about 30 minutes (may need to add more liquid) or can place in baking dish after browned and cover with soup and water. (The sauce is good over mashed potatoes.) Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes. |
