HAMBURGER PASTA SAUCE 
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 c. chopped onion
1 crushed lg. garlic clove
3 1/2 c. (28 oz. can) Contadina Whole Peeled Tomatoes and juice (I use 6 & 1 tomatoes (28 oz. size) at Italian store)
1 1/3 c. (2-6 oz. cans) tomato paste
1 c. water
1 c. sliced mushrooms
1 bay leaf
1 tsp. dried oregano leaves
1/2 tsp. dried basil leaves
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. black pepper

Brown ground beef, onion and garlic in large saucepan. Then drain off fat. Cut up tomatoes, add tomatoes and juice, tomato paste, water, mushrooms, bay leaf, oregano, basil, salt and pepper. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat and cook, uncovered, stirring occasionally 30 minutes. Remove bay leaf. Serve over cooked pasta. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
