APPLE BUTTERSCOTCH BREAD | |
2 c. biscuit mix 1 c. quick oats 3/4 c. sugar 1/4 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 c. chocolate chips 1/2 c. golden raisins 1/2 c. broken walnuts 1 egg, well beaten 1/4 c. milk 1 c. applesauce Combine first 5 ingredients by stirring; do not sift. Add chocolate chips, raisins, and nuts. Candied fruit may also be added. Combine egg and milk; beat. Stir in applesauce. Beat hard with spoon for 1 minute. Spoon into greased loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes. |
