APPLE NUT BARS 
4 med. all purpose apples, cored & finely chopped
1 (15.4 oz.) pkg. nut or date quick bread mix
1 (14 oz.) can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated milk)
1 c. nuts, chopped
3 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
Cream cheese frosting

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except frosting; mix well. Pour into a greased and floured 15"x10" jelly roll pan. Bake for 30 minutes. Cool. Spread frosting and cut into bars. Store, covered in refrigerator. Makes 36 to 48 bars.

CREAM CHEESE FROSTING:

2 (3 oz.) pkgs. cream cheese
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 tsp. vanilla
4 c. confectioners' sugar, sifted

In a small mixer bowl, beat cream cheese, butter and vanilla until fluffy. Add sifted confectioners' sugar; mix well. Makes about 2 1/2 cups.
