Oatmeal Apple Cobbler

I may have used larger apples, but this recipe came out more like apple crisp. I also layered half the apples in the bottom of the pan and sprinkled pie spices on them. Very satisfied with this recipe.

It turned out drier than a cobbler should. It was more of a crisp consistency but still dry. I added some applesauce to make it a little moist

Easy-peasy. I picked this recipe based upon having all the ingredients on hand. This is more of a crisp than cobbler. Variation I made included ~1/4 cup slivered almonds, ~1 teaspoon cinnamon. I used 2 large Gala apples diced and Irish oats "quick" variety. Baking 55-60 minutes resulted in a more cooked texture for the apples and the oatmeal. Would definitely make again and possibly add in a little nutmeg, walnuts instead of almonds for another variation.

I doubled the sugar, butter oatmeal and Bisquick. Real good.
