BRANDIED PEACHES 
2 cans peach halves
1/4 to 1/2 c. sugar, to taste
1/2 c. brandy, preferable peach or other fruit brandy
1/4 tsp. almond extract

Drain peaches, reserve 1 cup of juice. Mix sugar with the reserved juice and boil until reduce by half. Cool. Measure 1/2 cup and stir in brandy and almond extract. Pour brandy syrup over peaches and serve as side dish or top with whipped cream for a dessert.
