HOT BEEF 
8 oz. flank beef, sliced
1/2 bamboo shoots
1/2 green pepper, cut up
1 red pepper, sliced
1 sm. piece ginger root
1 clove garlic, crushed
2 chili peppers
1/2 c. peanuts
1 tbsp. light soy sauce
1/2 tsp. sugar
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 c. water
2 tbsp. oil
1 tbsp. oyster sauce
Chinese cooking wine (opt.)

In wok, fry beef in hot oil. Add ginger, garlic and chili pepper. Stir-fry. Add peppers and bamboo shoots, then add soy sauce, sugar and Chinese cooking wine. Mix cornstarch, oyster sauce and water to make a thickening paste. Add peanuts to mixture in wok then thicken with sauce.
