PORK CHOPS WITH SAUERKRAUT &
APPLESAUCE
 
1 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
salt and pepper, to taste
6 pork chops
1 jar (16 oz.) applesauce
1 jar or package (16 oz.) sauerkraut
3 tbsp. brown sugar

In a skillet, brown pork chops in oil and butter adding garlic near the end.

Meanwhile, combine applesauce, sauerkraut and brown sugar and put into baking pan or dish. Put browned pork chops down into mixture and bake for about 1 hour at 350°F (depends upon thickness of chops).

Cover with aluminum foil and turn off oven. Remove from oven when tender.

Season to taste with salt and pepper; add a little paprika for color.
