EVIE'S CLAM CHOWDER 
3 strips bacon
1 med. onion, chopped
2 to 3 stalks celery, minced
1/4 tsp. pepper
Salt to taste
8 to 10 oz. can whole baby clams
1 pkg. frozen corn with butter
3 c. raw potatoes, peeled & diced
1 pt. light cream

Saute onion and celery in bacon. When the bacon is almost done, cut into pieces. Add remaining ingredients except cream. Do not drain clams. Cook until the potatoes are done - about 20 minutes. Add the cream and heat thoroughly, but DO NOT BOIL AFTER ADDING CREAM.
