3 squares unsweetened chocolate (3 oz.) 1/3 cup butter, room temperature 1 cup sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 3/4 cup sifted flour 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 cup walnuts, pecans, almonds, or Macadamia nuts Preheat oven to 350°F. Melt chocolate and butter (in microwave or small saucepan). Allow to cool for several minutes before beating in sugar; add eggs, one at a time and beat for 45 seconds, adding vanilla. Whisk together flour, baking powder and salt. Stir into batter along with chopped nuts. Spread evenly in greased brownie pan. Bake until top of batter is no longer shiny and has dull crust, but before the very center is not completely set (about 30-35 minutes). Remove from oven and cover with foil for 10 minutes, then cut into squares. Makes 16 squares. Submitted by: Belle |
