CHOCOLATE FUDGE BROWNIES 
Nut-fudgey, chewy brownies are everyone's favorite!

2 (1 oz. ea.) squares unsweetened chocolate
1/3 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
3/4 cup sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup coarsely chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Melt chocolate and butter together over hot water; beat in sugar and eggs. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together and stir in chocolate mixture. Mix in walnuts. Spread in a well greased 8-inch square pan.

Bake at 350°F for 30 to 35 minutes or until top has a dull crust and a slight imprint will be left when touched lightly with a finger.

Note: Do not overbake or they will lose the "chewy" texture.

Cool slightly, then cut into squares.
