SLUMGULLION
This recipe has been in my family for years. I have eaten "Slum" since I was a child.

1 lb. ground meat
1 med. onion, diced
1 lb. can tomatoes
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 cup macaroni, heaping
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper

In a large skillet, cook ground meat and onions. When meat is done, drain excess grease.

In another pan, cook macaroni. Crush the tomatoes and add them along with the sauce, macaroni, salt and pepper to the meat and onions in the skillet. Let the whole mixture simmer until some of the juice from the tomatoes cooks away.

Feeds 3 to 4 people.

Well holy heck, was scrambling around in the old noggin thinking of what I could have for dinner tonight. I decided to try this, in memory of my dad, and for my wife, she's never had it, and I haven't had it since I was a kid. What really got me is how there's so many versions, all so similar to what we had, and that you all call it the same thing! For years I thought dad just made this up, name and recipe. I bet he's lookin' down laughing at me right now, =D

This is very close to our old family recipe for Slumgullion too. Slumgullion was kind of a generic word for stew back in the day.
