LEMON POUND CAKE 
2 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. Crisco
6 eggs
3 1/2 c. cake flour
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. butter extract
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. lemon extract
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda, dissolved in 1 tbsp. hot water

Cream together sugar and Crisco. Then add eggs, flour, buttermilk (alternately add flour and buttermilk). Add butter, vanilla and lemon extracts and salt. When all is mixed, add (last) soda in water. Bake at 300 degrees in bundt pan or loaf pan. Grease slightly. While hot, pour the following topping over the cake.

TOPPING:

1/2 c. lemon juice
1/2 box sifted powdered sugar
Lump of butter
