SANDWICHES WITH A SMILE "KIDS
PARTY"
 
Makes 12 sandwiches.

1 loaf (24 slices) soft white bread
Raisins
Ham filling
Cheese filling
Sliced fully cooked ham
Process American cheese

Using open end of 1 pound coffee can, cut bread rounds. Press a "smile" onto 12 of the rounds by rolling half of the edge of bread with a small glass. Cut through to make an open "mouth".

Cut raisins in half, press in place for "eyes"; sticky side down. Toast all bread on cookie sheet oven 400 degrees until lightly browned.

Spread bottom half of toast with ham or cheese filling. Top with "face". To indicate type of spread used, place slices of ham or cheese cut into shape of little tongues in open "mouth" (in triangle shapes).

Ham Filling: Makes 1 1/2 cups. Combine 2 cans processed ham with 1/4 cup mayonnaise and 1 teaspoon mustard.

Cheese Filling: Makes 2/3 cup. Beat 2 packages (3 ounce each) softened cream cheese with 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese, 2 teaspoon lemon juice and 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce to spreading consistency.
