BASIC CASSEROLE CUSTARD 
3 eggs
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. milk

In 1 quart casserole beat eggs, sugar, vanilla and salt with wire whisk, until very well blended and sugar is dissolved. Scald milk in glass measure. Microwave at high 3 to 4 minutes. Gradually add to egg mixture, stirring well. Cover dish and microwave at low 10 to 12 minutes. Rotate dish 1/2 turn after 7 to 8 minutes. Sprinkle top with nutmeg before serving, if desired. Makes 6 to 8 servings.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
