KENTUCKY PRUNE CAKE 
Blend:

1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 c. cooking oil

Add and beat well:

2 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. baking soda

Add:

1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. cut up prunes
1 c. chopped pecans

Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Pour icing over cake as soon as it is removed from oven.

ICING:

1 1/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. white syrup
1/2 stick butter

Bring to boil and cook 5 minutes. Remove and add 1 teaspoon vanilla.
