BROWN AND SERVE ROLLS
1/2 c. warm water
2 pkg. yeast
1 tsp. sugar
1 stick butter
1/2-3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. milk
1 c. boiling water
Salt to taste
6-6 1/2 c. self-rising flour

Step I: Blend together warm water, yeast and 1 teaspoon sugar. Set aside.

Step II: Blend together butter, 1/2 to 3/4 cup sugar and eggs in large bowl.

Step III: Blend in milk, boiling water and salt with Step II.

Step IV: Blend in flour with Steps I, II and III. After ingredients are blended in Step II and III, add yeast mixture and mix well. Gradually add flour until dough is blended. Dough will be very sticky. Cover and let rise 1 time. Dough can be kneaded now adding additional flour to handle. Cut out roll circles and place on cookie sheet to rise 1 more time. Rolls may also be brushed with butter and folded and brushed with butter again. I just use circles to make rounds rolls. Dough may also be placed in the refrigerator until ready to use. Bake at 350 degrees until golden brown.
