BROWNIE PUDDING CAKE 
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cocoa
3 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. milk
1 1/2 tbsp. melted butter
2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. chopped walnuts, optional
1/2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1/4 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cocoa
1 3/4 c. boiling water

Sift together flour, 1 cup sugar, 3 tablespoons cocoa, baking powder and salt into a bowl. Add milk, butter and vanilla; beat well. Stir in walnuts. Spread batter in greased 9 x 13 x 2 inch pan.

Combine brown sugar, 1/4 cup sugar and 3 tablespoons cocoa. Sprinkle over batter. Pour boiling water over all. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until cake tests done. Can be served with vanilla ice cream.
