CAMPER'S STEW 
2 tbsp. oil or butter
2 lbs. ground beef
1 med. to lg. onion
1 pkg. beef bouillon or cube
1 can old-fashioned or chunky vegetable soup
1 lg. can tomatoes
2-3 cans Veg-All
1/2 c. rice or macaroni (shells, dilanti, alphabets), optional

Melt butter in large Dutch oven. Brown ground beef and add onion just before beef is done so it can brown. When onion is translucent add the rest of the ingredients (except macaroni or rice).

Let simmer for 15 minutes then add last ingredients. Let simmer until rice or macaroni is tender. Serve in large soup bowls.

This recipe can be reduced or added to easily depending on how many you are feeding. Best if cooked over open fire in a Dutch oven, but can be done stove top. Best served with salad. Serves 6.
