COCKTAIL SMOKED SAUSAGE & APPLE | |
2 tbsp. butter 1/2 c. apple jelly 2 lbs. cocktail smoked sausage 3 apples, peeled, cored & sliced 1 lg. onion, chopped 1/2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed 1 tbsp. flour or cornstarch 2 tbsp. warm water In large skillet, melt butter (butter) over medium heat. Add onion, saute until golden, stirring constantly. Stir in jelly and brown sugar. Add sausages and reduced heat to low. Cook, stirring often 20 minutes. Add apples, partially cover pan and cook 10 to 15 minutes until apples are tender. Combine flour and water. Stir into mixture in pan. Cook 2 to 3 minutes more until mix thickens. Serve warm. |
