OVERNIGHT LAYERED SALAD 
1 head lettuce, cut in half and sliced
2 c. well washed torn spinach leaves
2 c. celery, sliced on the diagonal
1 med. sized red or white onion, peeled, sliced and separated into rings
1 med. sized cucumbers, sliced
1 c. sour cream
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. mayonnaise
3 tbsp. cider vinegar
4 slices bacon, diced, fried crisp and drained on paper towels
2-3 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
1 c. cherry tomatoes, stemmed and washed (optional)

In a large glass salad bowl make layers of the lettuce, spinach, celery, onion rings, and cucumber slices. Repeat the layers until there are only about 1 1/2 inches left free at the top of the bowl. Mix sour cream, salt, and sugar together. Pour over the top of the salad. Do not stir. Let set overnight before serving.
