FRESH VEGETABLE MARINADE | |
4 stalks fresh broccoli 8 lg. fresh mushrooms, sliced 1 med. size green pepper, chopped 3 stalks celery, chopped 1 sm. head cauliflower, broken into flowerettes 1 c. sugar 2 tsp. dry mustard 1 tsp. salt 1/2 c. vinegar 1 1/2 c. vegetable oil 1 sm. onion, grated 2 tbsp. poppy seeds Remove flowerettes from broccoli; cut into bite size pieces. Reserve stalks for other use. Combine flowerettes, mushrooms, pepper, celery, and cauliflower; toss lightly. Combine remaining ingredients; mix well and pour over vegetables. Chill at least 3 hours. Yield: 10 to 12 servings. |
