MOIST CHOCOLATE OATMEAL CAKE 
1 3/4 c. boiling water
1 c. uncooked oatmeal
1 c. lightly packed brown sugar
1 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 lg. eggs
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 tsp. salt
6 oz. chocolate chips
3/4 c. chopped walnuts or pecans

Pour boiling water over oatmeal and let set 10 minutes. Add brown sugar and granulated sugar and egg. Stir in 1/2 chocolate chips and cocoa. Add dry ingredients. Mix well. Take the rest of the chocolate chips and nuts and sprinkle over batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes in a 9"x13" pan that is greased and floured.
