DARK MOIST CHOCOLATE CAKE 
Cream 1/2 cup shortening with 1 1/2 cups sugar. Add 2 eggs (1 at a time unbeaten). Melt 2 squares chocolate in 3 tablespoons boiling water. Add 1 1/2 cups flour and 1 teaspoon baking soda. Sift together. Alternate with 1 cup milk. Add 2 teaspoons vanilla. Bake in 350 degree oven about 50 minutes. Frost with Butter Cream Frosting.
