2 tbsp. butter
2 sq. Baker's chocolate
1 c. sugar
1 c. evaporated milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Melt butter and chocolate. Add sugar and evaporated milk. Stir until thick over moderate heat. Add the vanilla. You might double this because it keeps well. Always heat it before putting on ice cream.
