3 c. all-purpose flour
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1/2 lb. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Put in flour and vanilla. This makes a very thick batter. Spread 3/4 of this batter onto a greased 13x9 inch pan. Spread on top of batter one can of prepared pie filling. Cherry, apple, blueberry, strawberry and pineapple are all excellent. Dot rest of batter here and there over filling and if you like a little bit of granulated sugar. Bake at preheated 350 degree oven for 45 minutes.
