FUDGE (OLD FASHIONED) 
2 c. sugar
1 c. canned milk
1/2 tsp. salt
2 sqs. unsweetened chocolate
2 tbsp. white corn syrup
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts, chopped

Combine sugar, milk, salt, chocolate, corn syrup in saucepan. Cook and stir over low heat until sugar dissolves. Cook slowly to soft ball stage, stirring frequently. Remove from heat. Add butter. Cool to lukewarm. Beat in vanilla and nuts until mixture is not longer shiny. Pour into buttered 9 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Cool and cut into squares.
