OLD FASHIONED FUDGE 
3 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. milk
2/3 c. cocoa
1/8 tsp. salt
4 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. pecans, chopped

Mix sugar, cocoa, salt, and milk. Cook and stir over medium heat; bring to a boil, stirring constantly. When mixture starts to thicken, test, by dropping a little in a small amount of water, when it forms a ball, remove from heat and add butter and vanilla and beat well. Add pecans and stir. Pour in a buttered oblong dish, let cool 15-20 minutes. Cut in squares.
