INEZ OLD FASHIONED FUDGE 
Do Not Stir While Cooking!

4 c. sugar
1 c. Karo
1/2 c. cocoa
3/4 milk (canned)
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 or 2 cups nuts

Mix all ingredients except nuts, vanilla. Cook until soft ball stage. Remove from heat, beat until stiff. Pour into buttered platter. Let stand until firm and cut into squares.

I have been using the same recipe for years. My mother gave it to me. The only thing you are missing is when to add the vanilla. As soon as removed from heat add vanilla. It also sets better if you let fudge cool somewhat, until pot is easy to touch and doesnt burn finger. Add nuts while beating. Also best to use wooden spoon and never stir during cooking process.
