ANGEL BISCUITS 
5 c. self-rising flour
1 tsp. baking soda
4 tbsp. sugar
1 pkg. yeast, dissolved in 1/4 c. lukewarm water
1 c. shortening
2 c. buttermilk

Combine flour, soda and sugar. Cut in shortening, add yeast mixture, add buttermilk. Mix with hands on spoon until dough is formed. Pinch off as needed and make into biscuits. Bake 15 minutes at 400 degrees or until golden brown. This dough keeps up to 2 weeks in your refrigerator.
