TEXAS PECAN PIE 
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. butter
1 c. light corn syrup
1/4 tsp. salt
3 eggs
1 c. pecans, broken

Cream sugar and butter. Add syrup and salt and beat with mixer. Add 1 egg at a time and beat. Mix in pecans by hand. Pour into an unbaked pie crust shell and bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour, or until the center is firm to the touch.

Very good served with vanilla ice cream.
