STRAWBERRY PRETZEL SALAD OR
DESSERT
 
2 1/2 c. coarsely crushed pretzels
3 tbsp. brown sugar
3/4 c. melted butter
8 oz. Philadelphia cream cheese
1 egg
1 c. powdered sugar
1/4 tsp. lemon extract
4 oz. Cool Whip
2 pkg. Strawberry Jello
2 c. hot water
2 pkg. frozen strawberries

Combine pretzels, brown sugar, and melted butter. Pat into 9 x 13 inch (or larger) pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 10 minutes. Beat together cream cheese, egg, powdered sugar, and lemon extract. Fold in Cool Whip. Prepare strawberry Jello with hot water. Cool slightly and add frozen strawberries. (They will combine easier if broken apart somewhat before you add them.) When thickened pour over cream cheese mixture and chill.
