LASAGNA | |
1 lb. ground beef 1/2 c. chopped onion 1 (1 lb.) can whole tomatoes 1 (12 oz.) can tomato paste 1 tbsp. chopped parsley 1 can mushroom pieces 1 tbsp. sugar 1 tbsp. oregano 1 jar Prego spaghetti sauce 1 carton ricotta cheese or cottage cheese 1 c. Parmesan cheese 8-16 oz. mozzarella cheese, shredded 1 (8 oz.) box lasagna noodles In a large pan lightly brown beef and onion, drain grease; add tomatoes, paste, parsley, mushrooms, sugar, oregano and Prego. Simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally for 30 minutes. Meanwhile cook lasagna noodles. In oblong baking dish put enough sauce to cover bottom of pan. Then alternate layers of noodles, sauce and cheeses until dish is full. End with cheese layer. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-50 minutes until brown on top. |
