HAM STRATA 
12 slices white bread
10 oz. pkg. frozen chopped broccoli
6 eggs, slightly beaten
2 tbsp. instant onion
1/4 tsp. dry mustard
3/4 lb. sharp cheese, sliced
2 c. cooked ham, chopped
3 1/2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg

Cut 12 doughnut shapes and holes from bread and put aside. Fit remaining bread scraps into a buttered 13 x 9 x 2 pan. Arrange cheese slices over bread and add a layer of broccoli and then a layer of ham. Put doughnut shapes and holes on top. Combine rest of ingredients and pour over all. Cover; refrigerate at least 6 hours or overnight. Bake uncovered at 325 degrees for 50 minutes. Sprinkle with some shredded cheese (Swiss cheese is good) and bake 5 more minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. NOTE: bread will handle easier if it is frozen. Serves 8.
