SCONES 
2 c. flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. shortening
2 eggs
1/3 c. milk

Mix together dry ingredients. Cut in shortening. Add eggs and milk. Mix with fork, until all ingredients are moist. Avoid over mixing. Turn onto floured board; knead lightly 5 or 6 times. Roll into 1/2 inch thickness; cut with 2 inch cutter. Bake 10 minutes on each side on ungreased skillet over medium heat.
