WHOLE WHEAT BISCUITS 
1 c. whole wheat flour
1 c. plain flour
1 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/3 c. shortening
1 egg, slightly beaten
3/4 c. milk

Combine dry ingredients. Cut in shortening. Combine egg and milk. Add to dry mixture. Turn onto floured surface and knead 4-5 times. Roll and cut. Bake on a lightly greased sheet for 12 minutes on 450 degrees.
