MORTAL SIN BARS 
1 German chocolate cake mix
1/3 c. evaporated milk
1 (8 oz.) pkg. caramels
1/2 c. vegetable oil
3/4 c. butter (1 1/2 sticks), melted
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
1/3 c. evaporated milk

Melt butter and blend with cake mix plus 1/3 cup of milk. Pat half of the mixture into a buttered 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes. While that is baking, heat caramels with 1/3 cup milk over low heat, stirring constantly, until all caramels are melted. Spread melted caramel over partially baked cake. Sprinkle chocolate chips over caramel layer. Crumble or pinch off remaining dough over chips. Return to oven and bake for 18 minutes. Cool completely! Cut into bars (36-48).
