CHILI-RICE SURPRISE | |
2 cans chili beans 1 c. cooked rice 1 can mushroom 1 1/2 c. American cheese, grated 1 1/2 c. Mozzarella cheese, grated 1 lg. carton cottage cheese 1/2 green bell pepper 1 med. onion, diced 1 c. your favorite spaghetti sauce 6 no-cook lasagna noodles Saute green pepper and onion until soft. Combine chili beans, rice, mushrooms, onion and pepper. Soak noodle in hot water until soft. Place noodle in pan and top with chili beans and rice mixture. Cover noodles with cottage cheese, American and Mozzarella cheese. Pour half of the spaghetti sauce over mixture. Repeat process. Place in conventional oven at 350 degrees until mixture bubbles. Makes 6 to 8 servings. TRY: Grand Burger may be added to mixture. Or pour mixture over chips, place cheese on top. Place in 350 degree oven until cheese melts or place mixture in taco bowls, on top of shredded lettuce, sprinkle with cheese, top with fresh diced tomatoes. |
