CRANBERRY BREAD 
2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

1 egg, beaten

2 tsp. hot water
2 tsp. melted butter
1/2 c. orange juice
1/2 c. nut meats
1 c. raw cranberries, halved

Mix thoroughly; bake in oiled bread pans 70 minutes at 325 degrees.

When done, remove from pan and butter top crust. Wrap in wax paper. Cool in refrigerator 2 hours. Remove wax paper and store like fruit cake for 24 hours before using.
