ALPINE CHICKEN 
4 c. diced & cooked chicken (3-4 lb. whole breasts)
2 c. sliced celery
2 c. toasted bread cubes (cubes are better than crumbs in this)
1 c. mayonnaise
1 c. milk
1 c. sliced fresh mushrooms
1/4 c. chopped onions
1 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper
1 c. broccoli florets (fresh or frozen, precooked, to barely tender)
1 sm. can sliced water chestnuts, drained
8 oz. Jarlsburg cheese, cubed
1/4 c. toasted almonds

Served hot: Combine all ingredients except almonds. Mix well. Pour into 2 quart greased casserole dish. Bake 40 minutes at 350 degrees with cover. Remove cover, sprinkle with almonds and bake for 10 minutes more.

Served cold: Combine all ingredients and mix well. Pour into 2 quart serving dish, sprinkle with almonds and serve.

Note: This dish may be "stretched" by adding extra chicken and bread cubes.
