REFRIGERATOR MUFFINS 
1 c. boiling water
1 c. Nabisco 100% Bran
1/2 c. shortening, melted
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 c. buttermilk
Oil works just as well
2 1/2 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 c. Kellogg's All Bran or Buds
1/2 c. raisins or dates (optional)

Mix water, bran, shortening, sugar, eggs, and buttermilk. Mix dry ingredients and add to first mixture. Add the All Bran, raisins and dates. Bake in greased muffin pans at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. May be put in jar and refrigerated until needed but do not stir. Yield: 18 muffins.
