1 c. Linit starch 5 c. boiling water 1/2 c. soak flakes Vegetable or powder coloring or let child mix in powder color Mix starch with enough cold water to make a smooth paste. Add boiling water and cook mixture until it is glossy. Stir in dry soak flakes while the mixture is warm. Cool. Pour into jars. This mixture will keep a week or longer if covered with a tight lid. NOTE: For very young children, or to achieve a heavier effect, fingerpaint base may be used as easel base paint extender. |
