1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. unsifted flour
1 (6 oz.) bag chocolate chips
1/2 c. chopped nuts
2/3 c. drained, sliced maraschino cherries

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Blend vanilla, salt, soda and flour. Stir chocolate chips, nuts and cherries into batter. Place by rounded teaspoonful on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes. Let cool before taking off pans.
