PRETZELS 
1 pkg., 1 cake, or 1 tbsp.yeast
1 1/2 c. warm water
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. sugar
4 c. flour
1 egg, beaten
Shaker of salt

Dissolve yeast in water, sift and measure flour. Stir sugar and salt into yeast mixture. Work the flour into the liquid first with spoon, then with fingers. Break off egg-sized lumps, to be rolled into snakes and knotted, etc. Place on paper covered cookie sheet, butcher or brown bags. Brush with the beaten egg and sprinkle with salt.

Bake 12-15 minutes at 425 degrees.
