BEEF STEW 
1 1/2 lb. beef cubes
1/2 c. onion
1 med. rutabaga
3 or 4 carrots
4 or 5 potatoes
Salt
Pepper
Thyme
2 tbsp. oil
Coat meat with flour, all cubed

Brown beef cubes in skillet in same oil. Add onion when brown place in large pan with 4 to 6 cups water. Boil beef for 2 to 3 hours. Add veggies one at a time and cook until all are tender.
