PEPPER RELISH 
12 green bell peppers
12 red bell peppers
3-4 onions
4 tbsp. salt
3 lb. cabbage

SAUCE:

2 c. sugar
1 c. vinegar
1 tbsp. pickling spices (in bag)

Chop peppers, onions and cabbage very fine. Pour enough boiling water over them to cover them. Add salt and mix. Let stand 15 minutes. Drain and pour into boiling clear (no salt) water. Let stand 5 minutes. Drain.

Make enough syrup to cover mixture or make as juicy as you like. Add mixture to syrup and simmer for 5 minutes. Pack in jars. Process for 10 minutes in hot water bath.
