HAWAIIAN OATMEAL COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. dark brown sugar
1 egg
1 (8 1/2 oz.) can crushed pineapple,, drained
1 1/2 c. oatmeal
1 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Cream butter and sugars together until light. Beat in egg, add pineapple and oatmeal. Add dry ingredients which have been sifted together and nuts. Blend thoroughly. Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Yields about 3 dozen.
